About this role

We’re looking for a Freelance WordPress developer to build and maintain websites at Mozaiq, often on short timelines. Dedicate around 20 hours per week or freelance full-time. This project-based role offers chances to join new projects regularly.

Day-to-day work involves developing custom themes from scratch, integrating plugins like Advanced Custom Fields PRO, and translating Figma designs into functional pages. Use Tailwind CSS for responsive UI components and handle REST API integrations securely. Apply performance optimization and SEO best practices to enhance site speed and visibility.

Join a global team spread across Europe and the United States, requiring availability across CET and Pacific Time. Communicate fluently in English for all internal interactions. Work independently or collaboratively with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Requirements

At least 4 years of professional experience in Web Development
Strong proficiency with the WordPress CMS
Knowledge of WordPress plugins, especially Advanced Custom Fields PRO
Experience in developing custom WordPress themes from scratch
Understanding of WordPress development concepts: Theme structure, Custom Post Types, Hooks, and Plugins
Solid understanding of Git, SASS, and JavaScript
Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS for responsive, modern, and maintainable UI components
Experience in translating Figma designs into functional web pages
