You'll design and build website front-ends, create architecture, and manage back-ends including databases and servers. Lead development of WordPress sites, plugins, themes ensuring performance, security, and scalability. Consult on new features, conduct performance tests, troubleshoot issues, and train clients on WordPress.

Build solutions dreamed up by product and design teams, delivering working software every two weeks. Part of a large team spanning global offices, integrate front- and back-end components for user-centered web and mobile experiences. Collaborate across offices to provide seamless functionality.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in WordPress development, particularly in custom themes and plugins
Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
Experience with modern frontend/CSS frameworks (e.g., TailwindCSS, BEM)
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
Experience with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
Good understanding of website architecture and SEO implications during migrations

Responsibilities

Lead development of WordPress websites, plugins, themes, and custom functionality ensuring highest standards of performance, security, and scalability
Design and build the website front-end
Create the website architecture
Design and manage the website back-end including database and server integration
Conduct website performance tests
Troubleshoot and debug issues
Consult, design, and implement new features and functionality
Conduct WordPress training with the client and proactive post-release monitoring
