About this role
The Senior WordPress Developer supports the evolution of technology solutions and processes for Online Education Services products and services. This role involves working closely with key internal stakeholders to drive successful development and deployment of public-facing websites. Responsibilities include setup and maintenance of key cloud technology systems.
Day-to-day work focuses on providing thought leadership to the Digital Product Manager and Head of Student Technology. Formulate options and solutions for public-facing websites and the broader technology space. Ensure alignment with organizational goals in online education delivery.

Requirements
- Advanced PHP, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and native JavaScript knowledge
- Extensive experience with WordPress theme and plugin development
- Deep understanding of WordPress core software and its functions at the code level
- Experience with RESTful API and GraphQL integration
- Familiarity with front-end build tools like Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt
- Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git
- Knowledge and experience of AWS services in relation to WordPress Hosting
- Understanding of SEO principles, WCAG accessibility standards, and client-side performance
Responsibilities
- Support the evolution of technology solutions and processes for OES products and services
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to drive development and deployment of public-facing websites
- Set up and maintain key cloud technology systems to support website operations
- Provide thought leadership on public-facing websites and broader technology space
- Support Digital Product Manager and Head of Student Technology in solutions formulation
- Develop WordPress themes and plugins for online education platforms
- Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL for enhanced functionality
- Optimize for SEO, accessibility, and performance in WordPress environments
