As a Junior WordPress Developer at Awesome Motive, you'll be responsible for Making Stuff Go in the WPCode team. You will build infrastructure to create new features, improve existing code, squash bugs, and help us rapidly scale our platform that impacts millions of users.
You'll work as a self-starter who takes initiative and sees things through from conception to completion. Our developers often "own" features/tasks and are responsible for scoping, development, and testing. You'll be jumping between front-end and back-end development tasks, working on everything from small bug fixes and enhancements to large features and rewrites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage bugs and small enhancements that come into GitHub
- Scope, write, and test new product features and addons
- Refactor legacy code with particular attention to backwards compatibility
- Support customers by answering technical questions and helping them maximize our products
- Communicate with the team and support peers using chat, audio, and video
- Work on tasks of all sizes from small fixes to major feature development
