Design and build responsive, user-friendly WordPress websites from comprehensive layouts and wireframes. Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins while managing front-end and back-end development. Ensure high performance, availability, and all technical aspects of the CMS.

Collaborate with design and content teams to bring website concepts to life. Conduct performance tests, troubleshoot content issues, and provide technical support and training to clients and staff. Work remotely during US work hours, 20-40 hours per week.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in web development and WordPress. Implement SEO best practices for site optimization and perform ongoing maintenance and updates. This role offers opportunities to handle diverse web projects in a dynamic remote environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a WordPress Developer
Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development
Familiarity with website architecture and navigation features
Knowledge of MySQL database management
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Strong understanding of website performance, security, and optimization techniques
