Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Full Stack WordPress Developer to support a major national laboratory. This role involves analyzing user needs and developing software solutions using principles of computer science and engineering.

The developer will plan and implement automated and continuous software deployments while maturing DevOps pipelines and processes. They will develop new applications and improvements to meet emerging business needs, balancing customer requirements with technological realities.

The position operates within an Agile (preferably Scrum) environment, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The developer must be self-directed on technical projects and stay current with industry trends and standard methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus minimum 7 years of directly related experience (or 13 additional years in lieu of degree).
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Agile (preferably Scrum) experience.
  • Extensive skills in web application development including both back-end and front-end.
  • Experience with WordPress themes, plugins, and Gutenberg front-end components.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as PHP, C#, C++, or Java.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js).
  • Experience with Git branching/merging strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
