You'll design and build website front-end and back-end, create architecture, integrate databases and servers, and lead development of WordPress sites, plugins, and themes. Responsibilities include conducting performance tests, troubleshooting issues, proactive post-release monitoring, and consulting on new features. You'll ensure high-performance, availability, security, and scalability of the CMS.

You'll build solutions dreamed up by product and design teams, delivering working software every two weeks. Part of a large team spanning three global offices, you'll collaborate to integrate front- and back-end components for user-centered web and mobile experiences.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in WordPress development, particularly in custom themes and plugins
Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
Experience with modern frontend/CSS frameworks (e.g., TailwindCSS, BEM)
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial
Experience with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
Good understanding of SEO implications during migrations and URL restructuring

Responsibilities

Design and build the website front-end
Create the website architecture
Design and manage the website back-end including database and server integration
Conduct website performance tests
Troubleshoot and debug issues
Lead the development of WordPress websites, plugins, themes, and custom functionality
Oversee code quality through regular code reviews and address performance bottlenecks
Conduct WordPress training with the client and proactive post-release monitoring
