About this role

This is a remote position at Embrace Software Inc. We are looking for a WordPress Developer & Web Designer who can create website designs and develop them in WordPress. The role requires a good visual sense, strong technical skills, and close collaboration with the design team to translate brand concepts into functional, high-quality websites.

Day-to-day work involves designing layouts and wireframes, converting Figma, Adobe XD, or PSD files into responsive WordPress pages, and customizing themes and plugins. You will ensure sites are fast-loading, SEO-friendly, and secure while performing maintenance and troubleshooting. Follow best practices for performance and scalability across projects.

Collaborate closely with the design team to maintain brand consistency and quality. Assist with website-related visuals, UI elements, and design adaptations using tools like Elementor or Gutenberg. Work in a collaborative environment with strong design leadership.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in WordPress development and web design
Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
Hands-on experience with custom WordPress themes and plugins
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Illustrator
Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design
Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg)
Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and website performance optimization
Experience with WooCommerce (preferred)

Responsibilities

Design website layouts, wireframes, and page structures based on project requirements
