About this role
DocMe360 is seeking a talented WordPress Designer/UX Specialist to join our WordPress team for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). You will create visually appealing and user-friendly WordPress websites that follow the VA Design System and meet 508 compliance requirements. All applicants must be United States Citizens residing in the United States.
In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, design layouts, and implement user-centric principles. Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions. Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize concepts.
Work closely with developers to implement designs and ensure functionality. Demonstrate strong leadership skills while optimizing sites for speed, SEO, and performance. Provide support and maintenance for existing sites to keep them current.

Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and developing WordPress websites.
- Strong understanding of UX design principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience in responsive and mobile design.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and website analytics tools.
Responsibilities
