About this role

At BlackStone eIT, we are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to elevate our digital offerings. This role is critical in architecting, developing, and maintaining complex WordPress sites that resonate with our clients' visions. You will utilize your technical expertise and creative flair to deliver top-notch web solutions that engage users and drive conversions.

Design and implement custom WordPress themes and plugins while enhancing existing client websites to improve functionality and aesthetics. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness across all projects. Develop front-end with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, applying best practices in coding, performance, and accessibility.

Handle back-end development using PHP and MySQL to build dynamic functionality and deploy custom solutions tailored to client needs. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently. Participate in client meetings to gather requirements, provide expert insights, and translate needs into actionable web solutions.

Implement best practices for SEO to make websites search engine friendly and monitor site performance for enhanced speed. Maintain comprehensive documentation and provide ongoing support for clients. Stay updated on the latest web technologies, trends, and WordPress updates while sharing insights to foster team innovation.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in WordPress development
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and internal functionalities
Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization
Knowledge of SEO best practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
A strong portfolio showcasing previous WordPress projects and contributions
