About this role

VML is seeking a Senior UI Designer to join its rapidly expanding CX team, working alongside Leads in UX, UI and Service Design in the UK. This role focuses on designing interfaces that improve user experience and increase conversion for blue-chip clients. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, thinks conceptually, and leads execution of online visual identity.

In this hands-on position, you will create digital brand look and feel and design pixel-perfect responsive interfaces. You will work with design systems to produce design work at scale, ensuring both user and business needs are met. Your work will be of the highest standard and resonate within the eCommerce landscape.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, fellow designers, UX consultants, product managers, and developers. The environment is fast-paced and ever-moving, requiring you to keep up with the latest advances in technology and design trends. You will confidently defend your design decisions to clients and team members.

As a Senior UI Designer, you will own a compelling portfolio of digital design work and impress clients with your execution. Requirements

Experience using design systems on a large consumer-facing brand.
Demonstrable eCommerce experience.
Excellent design skills, proficient in Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Creative yet meticulous with a keen sense of craftsmanship.
Strong portfolio of digital design work, particularly for transactional websites.
Understanding of user-centred design best practice, conversion design, and accessibility principles.
Great attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Create digital brand look and feel for clients, ensuring both user and business needs are met.

Apply user-centred design best practices, conversion design, and accessibility principles.

Work closely with stakeholders, fellow designers, UX consultants, product managers, and developers.
Keep up-to-date with the latest advances in technology, design trends, and tooling.
