About this role

We are seeking a Senior WordPress Developer with strong backend and frontend development skills to join our digital team. This role is central to maintaining, improving, and potentially reimagining our current web infrastructure. We're looking for someone who can execute and consult on the best path forward, such as migrating to a new CMS or optimizing our existing WordPress instance.

A typical day involves responding to requests via Trello or Slack, pushing WordPress updates, plugin reviews, and site health checks. You'll deploy new landing pages based on Figma or design files, debug custom plugin issues or legacy code, and write optimized SQL queries. Conducting site audits and suggesting performance or UX improvements rounds out core tasks.

Schedule is Monday to Friday with flexible hours during business times, at 20 hours per week. Collaborate with internal stakeholders through these channels and join weekly dev stand-up calls for sprint planning and priorities. This setup supports efficient remote work focused on high-impact deliverables.

Advise on CMS strategy and technical direction to make cornerstone pages fast, accessible, and high-converting. Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and user experience drives the role. Opportunities exist to shape the site's future through strategic consulting and optimization.
