About this role

The WordPress Developer designs, builds, and maintains high-quality WordPress websites that align with business objectives and user needs. This role translates design concepts into functional, responsive, and secure web pages. It integrates plugins, APIs, and third-party tools to enhance functionality while optimizing performance.

Day-to-day tasks include developing complete websites end-to-end from Figma or PSD files into responsive pages. Customize and maintain themes and plugins, diagnose complex issues, and resolve them timely. Manage DNS records, domains, SSL certificates, and integrate APIs for added features.

Deliver SEO-optimized, cross-browser, and cross-platform websites with focus on speed, scalability, and security. Collaborate closely with the DevOps team to support back-end processes and ensure seamless operations. This teamwork drives overall site reliability and compatibility.

Gain hands-on experience with builders like Elementor and plugins such as WooCommerce. Leverage automation in workflows, integrations, and deployments. AI-powered tools for development and content workflows offer growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of proven experience as a WordPress Developer
  • Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, REST APIs, Python
  • Deep understanding of WordPress core, hooks, and filters
  • Hands-on with popular builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery) and plugins (WooCommerce, Yoast, WP Rocket, Wordfence, Gravity Forms)
  • Proven experience in DNS management for WordPress sites (A, CNAME, MX, TXT records; SSL setup)
  • Proven track record of previous work on plugin and theme customization and development
  • Experience in automation (workflows, integrations, deployment, content pipelines)

Responsibilities

  • Develop complete WordPress websites end-to-end, converting design files (Figma, PSD, etc.) into fully functional and responsive pages
  • Customize, extend, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex WordPress-related issues in a timely manner
  • Optimize websites for performance, speed, scalability, and security
  • Configure and manage DNS records, domains, subdomains, SSL certificates, and related email records
  • Integrate APIs and third-party services to enhance website functionality
  • Deliver responsive, cross-browser, cross-platform, and SEO-optimized websites
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to coordinate and support back-end processes
