About this role

Clariness is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer on a freelance, project-based basis. Responsibilities include building new WordPress websites and optimizing existing ones for performance, security, and user experience. This role supports healthcare by accelerating medical innovation through efficient digital solutions.

Day-to-day tasks involve managing tracking integrations and assisting the data team in troubleshooting WordPress-related issues. Add and manage translations for seamless multilingual functionality. Contribute to process automation, efficiency improvements via testing, and new solutions.

Requirements

WordPress Development (3+ years) – Experience in custom WordPress solutions, including Multisite and managed hosting (WPEngine)
Proficient in debugging tools like Chrome DevTools for troubleshooting and optimization
Integration of GA, GTM, and other tracking tools, along with WordPress security best practices (hardening, updates, security plugins)
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Figma-to-WordPress conversion, with a focus on speed optimization (caching, minification, lazy loading)
Advanced use of PHP functions, hooks, and custom WordPress development
Preferably experience with Elementor; strong knowledge of multilingual website management (WPML, TranslatePress, Polylang)
