Requirements

1-3 years of experience in WooCommerce and WordPress development
Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL
Strong understanding of e-commerce platform architecture, Design and Configurations
Experience with WooCommerce hooks, filters, and custom post types
Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party API integrations
Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development
Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain WooCommerce-based e-commerce websites and customize WooCommerce plugins and themes
Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins to enhance WooCommerce functionality adhering to coding standards
Integrate WooCommerce with third-party APIs and services such as payment gateways, shipping services, and marketing tools
Optimize website performance including load times, scalability, and site efficiency
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to WooCommerce ensuring minimal downtime
Implement best practices for securing WooCommerce websites with updates, patches, and vulnerability monitoring
Work closely with designers, content creators, and developers to implement features
Collaborate with team lead, scrum masters, and Platform Engineers on architecture and guidelines
