With over 130 employees in more than 40 countries, we realize demanding projects with WordPress and WooCommerce completely remote. We seek a Senior WordPress Engineer to strengthen our team.

In this position, you are responsible for programming and implementing new features in WordPress projects while contributing to architecture development. You will implement modern, advanced WordPress projects in the B2B sector with state-of-the-art code quality alongside top WordPress developers.

You collaborate closely with your team and developers from other teams on enterprise-level website projects. Work involves creating modular, reusable PHP and JS solutions like plugins, packages, blocks, and components. Ensure cross-browser support and partner with QA to meet requirements.

Requirements

Solid knowledge and experience with object-oriented PHP and JavaScript (especially React), HTML, and CSS
Knowledge of package managers for PHP (Composer) and JS (NPM/Yarn)
Experience with front-end tools for JS and CSS
Knowledge and experience with Git or another version control system
Enthusiasm for web development and open-source technologies
Professional-level English, both written and spoken (B1 or higher)
Flexibility, independent and structured working style, team-oriented behavior
Experience with WordPress, especially creating Gutenberg blocks

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team to develop functions, extensions, and bug fixes for enterprise-level website projects
Work with developers from other teams to create modular, reusable PHP and JS solutions (plugins, packages, blocks, components)
Convert acceptance criteria into implementation proposals, estimate effort, and plan tasks with team lead
Communicate with customers on technical requirements, report progress, and clarify issues
Ensure cross-browser support for front-end solutions and collaborate with QA team to verify requirements
Add and improve automated test coverage for existing and new PHP and JS packages
Conduct code reviews and address feedback
Maintain and deploy new features to live websites using controlled CI/CD workflows
