Metyis is growing and seeking a Frontend WooCommerce Developer with 1-3 years of experience for a full-time role in the Technology team. You will design, develop, and maintain WooCommerce-based e-commerce websites while customizing plugins and themes to meet business needs. Integrate WooCommerce with third-party APIs like payment gateways and shipping services. Optimize performance, resolve issues, and ensure security through best practices and updates.

Work within multidisciplinary teams combining Big Data, Digital Commerce, Marketing & Design, and Advisory services. Collaborate with designers, content creators, team leads, scrum masters, and Platform Engineers to define architecture and guidelines. Use version control like Git and maintain documentation for developments.

Interact with C-level executives at clients to drive impactful change. Lead teams in creating data-driven business solutions and seize entrepreneurial opportunities. Join a fast-growing international and diverse team that encourages bold ideas and creativity.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience in WooCommerce and WordPress development
Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL
Strong understanding of e-commerce platform architecture, design, and configurations
Experience with WooCommerce hooks, filters, and custom post types
Familiarity with REST APIs

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain WooCommerce-based e-commerce websites and customize plugins and themes
Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins to enhance WooCommerce functionality adhering to coding standards
Integrate WooCommerce with third-party APIs and services such as payment gateways and shipping services
Optimize website performance including load times, scalability, and site efficiency
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to WooCommerce ensuring minimal downtime
Implement best practices for securing WooCommerce websites with updates and vulnerability monitoring
Work closely with designers, content creators, and developers to implement features
Collaborate with team lead, scrum masters, and Platform Engineers on architecture and guidelines
